Police are trying to reunite a disabled woman with friends, family or caretakers after she wandered into an East Anchorage elementary school Thursday.
The woman, who is between 30 and 40 years old, walked in to Russian Jack Elementary at 4300 E 20th Ave. about 1:40 p.m, a police spokeswoman said in a written statement. She could not tell people at the school or police officers her name or her address.
Police said the woman wears glasses and has short dark hair with a light "tuft" over her forehead. She was described as having on a red-cream-and-black plaid button-up shirt, blue jeans and flip flops.
Anyone who knows the woman is asked to call police dispatches at 786-8900.
