Session 4: 3:30p.m. – 4p.m.
Session 1: Break Through the Noise
Thrive Founder and CEO Nathan Havey will kick things off with a thorough examination of things that have successfully broken through the noise of a fragmented media landscape, increasingly real-time marketing messages. Attendees will participate in a number of interactive exercises to help them identify why some messages get through while most don’t.
Session 2: Messages with Meaning
Thrive Message Architect Jessica Blackstock will lead an exercise on creating the corner stone of any marketing communications campaign whether on or offline – the message. She'll present examples of excellent messages, and will lead participants through a process to help them articulate their own core value through smart messaging.
Session 3: WWW - Why Websites Work
Thrive's Pixel Master, Ajay Mantri will lead a session on website construction. In this session, he is going to suggest a different way to think about websites, so that you can build a great one. Hint: they are more than a digital brochure or business card.
He'll speak English, not Tech-y so lay people can follow and understand what works on the web, and what doesn't.
Session 4: Press for Impressions
Thrive's press and publicity lead, Stephanie Cedeño will present a workshop on the value of getting the right kind of press. Most small businesses and not-for-profits underestimate the power and value of landing a good story, in the right publication, at the right time. Stephanie will show participants how to do this, and help them see their press-worthy story, just waiting to be written.
