Letter: The way things are going…

Alaska politics have taken on a rather surly element. The courts have said the voting district lines were drawn inappropriately by a bunch of Republicans, and the primary result is rigged districts, which in turn yielded this lopsided legislature and governor. Not one media outlet is calling it what it is: Gerrymandering.

One thing should be clear to everyone is the fact that right-wing zealots will stop at nothing to disrupt fair elections, and the political process in Alaska. After all, a little signature gathering campaign running on $60,000 in voluntary contributions is being battered by a small group of people who want to take $1 billion from the rest of us. Vote yes, repeal the oil tax giveaway.
