The Anchorage Bucs are in sole possession of first place thanks to Thursday's 10-0 thumping of the Fairbanks Goldpanners in Fairbanks.
Michael Strentz homered for the fifth time this season, David Andriese slugged a two-run triple and Chase Compton drove in three runs for the Bucs.
The Bucs outhit Fairbanks 13-6 and got hits from seven players.
Pitcher Kenny Smith scattered five hits and struck out three over six innings for the victory.
Chinooks 17, Pilots 2
Chugiak took out a season's worth of frustration on the Pilots, pounding out 19 hits in a 17-2 romp at Mulcahy Stadium. The Chinooks were 1-11 coming into the game.
Griffin Gum drove in four runs, accounting for two of them with a home run. He was one of nine Chugiak players who scored a run and one of eight who collected hits.
Right-hander Mike Jeffreys, who got the win, threw eight shutout innings before getting chased in the ninth after giving up a hit and a walk.
Oilers 3, Miners 1
Back-to-back hits by Noah Holmes and Kyle Hunt lifted the Peninsula Oilers past the Mat-Su Miners 3-1 in 11 innings Thursday in Palmer.
Holmes stroked a double to score Mike Wieland, who led off with a walk and advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt. Hunt followed with a single that drove in Holmes.
The Miners put their leadoff batter on base in the bottom of the inning but went down in order after that.
