A four-man battle for the state match-play golf championship -- "the most exciting and exhausting of the state's championships," according to Alaska Golf Association executive director Jeff Barnhart -- begins at 8 a.m. Sunday at Eagleglen Golf Course.
Greg Sanders, Adam Baxter, Jeremy Peters and Markus Dolejsi advanced to the semifinals of the four-day tournament with victories Saturday.
In women's play, Terri McAngus and Jamie Berg will meet in the championship match; in senior men's, the semifinals are Bill Arnold, Mark Schneiter, Bill Iverson and Matt Desalerno. Schneiter beat defending champion Bill Toney 1-up.
Finals begin at 1:30 p.m.
