Letter: Let pro teams finance training and schools spend on education

I don't always agree with Elise Patkotak, but on June 26 she was dead on. I would think the board of regents would be ashamed to publish the salary of a sports coach that made more than, say, an English professor. I have long believed that if the professional teams want a training program, they should fund it, not our universities. We spend more on hockey and basketball than we do on history.

Before you know it, we will have a kick-boxing and tough-man team. It really bothers me that this university promotes a sport that emphasizes brutality. Shame on the folks that are supposed to be in charge.
