Anchorage Chamber graduates 23 business professionals from leadership program

23 BUSINESS PROFESSIONALS FROM LEADERSHIP PROGRAM

Anchorage, AK – The Anchorage Chamber of Commerce recently graduated 23 exceptional business professionals from its five-month Leadership & Executive Advancement Program, or LEAP, culminating with a graduation ceremony in June at the Hilton Anchorage Hotel.

LEAP provides members looking to further their leadership skills with progressive curriculum and hands on tools that cultivates their future professional goals.

This extensive leadership program was designed for middle-management members of Anchorage Chamber businesses looking to pursue a higher degree of professional standards.

Each student completed ten courses, worked together with a local non-profit on a Business Enhancement Project and completed a handful of assignments to graduate the program.

The students were chosen based on their business interest and current accomplishments.

"All of these professionals have shown they have what it takes to become the next business leaders of Anchorage," said Andrew Halcro, president of the Anchorage Chamber. "We are proud of their accomplishments and hope that LEAP gave them the skills and confidence they need to fuel their professional spirits."

This is the third Anchorage Chamber LEAP class to graduate since the program's inception in 2011.

BP once again sponsored the class with more than 15 local leaders from various member companies presenting the curriculum during the semester.

The next semester will be held January 10 to May 30, 2014. Enrollment will begin in September.
