Longtime Alaska blues/jazz/r&b singer Soulman Sam returns to Anchorage for shows at Blues Central, 825 W. Northern Lights Blvd., 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday. The Blues Central All Stars will be backing him up. $15 at the door.

Love rhubarb? Head to the Valley for the Garden & Art Faire, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Saturday on the Green in downtown Palmer. Santa and Mrs. Claus join Hurricane Dave and friends in a program of Christmas music to raise money for local charities. Revolution

Dropkick Murphys
The International Brotherhood of Firefighters is bringing heat to Spenard on Saturday by sponsoring the American Celtic punk band Dropkick Murphys for one outrageous all-ages outdoor show under the historic Kut Rate Kid windmill at Chilkoot Charlie's.
