Elderly Anchorage man missing for 5 days

Anchorage police said Tuesday they are seeking help from the public in locating an elderly man missing for five days.

Wallace Wikinson Dunn, 81, was last seen attending a soccer game near Waldron Lake on Thursday, police spokeswoman Dani Myren said in a written statement. Family members think Dunn went to his home in the 6500 block of Lakeway Drive after the soccer game and left again on Friday, Myren said.

None of Dunn's family has heard from him since the soccer game, Myren said. A family member reported him missing Tuesday, she said.

"Mr. Dunn had previously expressed plans to travel to his cabin in the Big Lake area, and while he has not been located at his property, he may be in the vicinity," Myren said.

Police described Dunn as 5 feet, 7 inches and about 165 pounds and said he might be driving a gray 1998 Ford F-150 with the licence plate 8676DR.

Police ask that anyone with information on Dunn's whereabouts call 786-8900.
