Thursday in the Alaska Baseball League

Bucs 3, Pilots 0

The Anchorage Bucs took the Mayor's Cup from the Anchorage Glacier Pilots on Thursday for the first time since 2005, winning Thursday's rubber match 3-0 in the annual three-game series at Mulcahy Stadium.

The Bucs needed two pitchers to shut out the Pilots, with starter Garrett Mundell striking out six and allowing two hits over eight innings and Anthony Gonsolin closing in the ninth.

Don Andre Clark drove in the first Bucs run with a third-inning double and Tyler Coolbaugh scored on a Ryan Leonards groundout to give the Bucs a 2-0 lead before the inning ended. Lawton Langford (two hits) scored the game's final run on a Matt Daugherty single in the eighth inning.
