Teen airlifted to Anchorage after ATV crash, 2 others hurt

One teenager was airlifted and two others were injured after an ATV crash late Tuesday on Hector Ewan Road in Copper Center.

The 14-year-old driver and two passengers were on a 2013 Honda Rancher ATV around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday when they struck a tree, according to an online dispatch from Alaska State Troopers.

A 16-year-old passenger was airlifted to Anchorage with serious injuries.

The driver, who was the only teen wearing a helmet, and a 17-year-old passenger were treated for minor injuries at Cross Road Medical Center in Glennallen.

Troopers will continue to investigate the crash.
