Police receive new tip in case of missing elderly Anchorage man

Police received a new tip this week in connection with the disappearance of Wallace Wilkinson Dunn, an 81-year-old Anchorage man who was reported missing on July 16.

Investigators now believe Dunn may have been seen near the Montana Creek Campground on July 13, where a man who matches Dunn's description discussed plans to walk or hitchhike to the Denali Park area, according to an Anchorage Police media release issued Friday.

Last week Dunn's gray Ford F-150 was found parked and locked in Big Lake. Several helicopter and ground searches were unsuccessful.

Those who may have seen Dunn walking or hitchhiking, or have any other information as to his whereabouts, are asked to contact the Anchorage Police Department at 907-786-8900.
