The American Red Cross is not designed to reach out to rural Alaska due to the fact many communities are off the road system from the rest of America. Also there are many different Alaska Native languages spoken in rural Alaska. Especially in Southwest Alaska, where the Yup'ik is spoken as a first language. Not to mention the way communications are done by the American Red Cross. It seems there is no after-hours assistance for emergency needs out here in the Bush. Each region in Alaska should have an office in the 12 regional hubs of Alaska that would better serve rural Alaska more efficiently.
