Anchorage police continued to investigate a report Saturday of gunshots fired in Mountain View and had made no arrests by Saturday night.

Officers closed down parts of two streets, North Bunn and North Lane, shortly after 3 p.m. and went house to house with shotguns and rifles asking residents if they had seen the suspect. There were no injuries reported in the incident, said police Sgt. Marc Patzke.

Neighbors called in a disturbance and reported hearing gunshots, Patzke said.

"No one was actually hit in the disturbance," Patzke said. "We're trying to contact all of the persons involved."

Police identified a suspect, but Patzke declined to name the person publicly or give a description.

Police spokeswoman Dani Myren said late Saturday that the investigation continued and no arrests had been made.
