A new forecast released Wednesday predicts that the Anchorage economy will keep growing at a moderate pace over the next three years.
The study, commissioned by the Anchorage Economic Development Corporation, says that personal income will increase 4.5 percent annually from 2013 to 2016. There will also be a steeper, 6.5 percent rise in the value of building permits issued by the city between 2014 and 2016, it says.
Slower, 1.2 percent growth is expected when it comes to employment, with private sector gains being offset by cuts to government jobs.
The forecast was compiled by the McDowell Group, a local research and consulting firm, and is based on interviews, historical data, and current events.
It was unveiled Wednesday at a luncheon organized by AEDC.
