Excited viewers swamped the Internet last month when made for cable “Sharknado” hit the tube. People couldn't believe the schlocky film about a tornado full of man-eating sharks terrorizing Los Angeles. But they couldn't take their eyes off it either. Instant cult hit. Now it comes to the big screen, specifically the Regal Tikahtnu, for one show only, 12:05 a.m. early Saturday morning. The screening will include a behind-the-scenes featurette and gag reel.

Anchorage Coastal Trail Bike and Bird Day

The Anchorage mud flats and nearby terrain provide important habitat for a variety of birds. Join bike-riding bird lovers at the Westchester Lagoon boat ramp, 15th Avenue and U Street for an informative trek along the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail starting at 1 p.m. Sunday. It's sponsored by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Audubon Alaska and the Alaska Zoo, which will have live bird meet-and-greets at Westchester at 1 p.m. and at Elderberry Park at 4:30 p.m.

Motown Monday

Ain't no mountain high enough to keep us from SubZero, 612 F St., when DJ Spencer Lee spins the hits from the glory days of Motown. The music starts at 6:30 p.m. Mondays through August and there's no cover charge. There are, however, specialty cocktails from Truuli Peak Vodka.
