In his response above to a Daily News editorial of Aug. 8, former Rep. Vic Kohring argues that he never broke the public trust in his actions as a legislator, including taking money from Veco president Bill Allen. Kohring was convicted in the corruption case, but the convictions were vacated and he later entered a guilty plea to one count of extortion and conspiracy.
