Public memorial set for teens killed in Anchorage crash

A celebration of life will be held next week for Brooke McPheters and Jordyn Durr, the 15-year-old victims of a deadly crash in Anchorage involving an alleged drunken driver.

Their families have invited the community to the public memorial at 1 p.m. Aug. 20 at Changepoint Church, located at 6689 Changepoint Drive in Anchorage, according to a statement released by the Anchorage Police Department.

No cameras, audio devices or media will be allowed at the event.

McPheters and Durr were walking on a paved bike path in South Anchorage on Friday evening when they were killed when a red pickup plowed into them. The driver, Stacey Allen Graham, was charged with second-degree murder and driving while intoxicated.
