Letter: ASD funds enrollment-based

Dave Bronson's Compass column of Aug. 15 makes the disingenuous statement: "Each year the ABT's Anchorage Christian Schools (ACS) educate nearly 700 students. The $18,000 worth of tax revenues earmarked for each child is still contributed to the Anchorage School District's (ASD) budget."

ASD does not receive any tax revenues earmarked for "each child." ASD only receives funding based on the children who enroll in the school district and the programs and services ASD provides. ASD does not receive any money for students educated at ABT ACS.
