Letter: Praise for man's act of kindness

Nowadays, rarely do we see random acts of kindness but while driving to work about 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 16, I witnessed one I wish I could have captured on film.

There is major road construction going on Dimond Boulevard. I did not realize the crosswalks were torn up as well. On the southeast corner of Dimond Boulevard and King Street, a man in a wheelchair was stuck in the gravel at the crosswalk. A man, apparently a client or worker of Hairplay by Colors, saw this man stuck in the gravel and proceeded to help him so the non-able-bodied man could cross the street at the pedestrian crossing.

I want to thank the man who helped the man in the wheelchair. With so much negativity going on daily, you helped restore my faith in humanity. Thank you.
