Accident backs up morning traffic on the Glenn Highway

Anchorage police report all lane have been cleared.

Anchorage police Tuesday morning were at the scene of a multi-vehicle accident on the southbound Glenn Highway near the South Peters Creek exit that had rush-hour traffic backed up for miles.

The accident has closed one lane of traffic, according to police spokeswoman Jennifer Castro.

People stuck in traffic said it was backed up to the Palmer Hay Flats at about 7:30 a.m.

Police were working to clear the accident, Castro said.
