I think I speak for many in the outdoor crowd when I say we're delighted you brought super-hiker Shawn Lyons back to the newspaper. Years ago he inspired us to go beyond the next ridge and to seek out more distant horizons.
In his spectacular forays into Alaska's backcountry, Lyons has truly lived the words of T.S. Eliot: "Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far they can go."
