Alaska Railroad & Glacier Brewhouse invite beer lovers to ride Great Alaska Beer Train in October

ANCHORAGE, ALASKA – The Great Alaska Beer Train, an annual favorite of locals and visitors alike, will depart on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013. Departing from the Anchorage Historic Downtown Depot, the Beer Train embarks on a roundtrip voyage south along Turnagain Arm to Portage, offering a few hours for passengers to enjoy the spectacular scenery and an array of Alaska's best brews and hors d'oeuvres.

The Great Alaska Beer Train offers the exciting atmosphere of a beer festival along with the added bonus of spectacular views of Chugach National Forrest and Turnagain Arm. The experience is completed with scrumptious appetizers, Glacier Brewhouse specialty brews and a fun crowd of likeminded beer connoisseurs.

The Beer Train departs from Anchorage at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5, and returns at 8:30 p.m. the same evening. Tickets are $159 per person and include appetizers, six half-pint beers and live music. Additional brews will be available purchase. Must be 21 or over to purchase a ticket.
