Alyeska Resort Announces New Management Staff and Promotions
August 29, 2013 (Girdwood, Alaska) – Alyeska Resort welcomes three new members to the management team this summer, Director of Human Resources Randy Neitzel, Director of Sales Michael Dutton, and Controller Mickey Tveter. Two other employees were promoted to new positions, Mandy Hawes to Vice President of Finance and Jaci Ohayon to Associate General Counsel.
Randy Neitzel comes to Alyeska Resort with over fifteen years of Human Resources experience, including nine years as Human Resources Manager at Snowbasin Ski Resort in Ogden, Utah. Randy graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Master's Degree in Public Administration and from the University of Wisconsin with a Bachelor's Degree in Communication. In the position of Director of Human Resources Randy will be responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction for the Human Resources department and have management responsibility over all of the resort's HR services and programs.
Michael Dutton is the newly appointed Director of Sales. Michael comes to his new position with over fifteen years of hotel sales leadership experience, including working for Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, Gansevoort Hotels & Resorts, The Peninsula Hotels, Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, Swissotel Hotels & Resorts and Omni Hotels. Michael is a graduate of Middlesex University in London, UK with a Bachelor's Degree in Hotel Management. As Alyeska Resort's Director of Sales, Michael will be responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction for the Sales & Catering department.
To lead the accounting department, Alyeska Resort welcomes Mickey Tveter to the team. Mickey comes to Girdwood from Virginia where he was the General Ledger Accountant for Unirisc, Inc. Prior to that, Mickey worked as Assistant Director of Finance for various Kimpton Hotels in the Washington, DC area. Mickey holds a Master's degree in Tourism Administration from George Washington School of Business. As Controller, Mickey will oversee the daily administration of the Accounting department and primarily be responsible for monthly financial statement reporting, accounts receivable and accounts payable.
Mandy Hawes has been promoted to Vice President of Finance and will be responsible for general leadership related to the financial mission of Alyeska Resort. Mandy will work directly with owners of Alyeska Resort and will assist the Resort to operate with sound financial procedures and policies, while producing timely financials statements and reports. She will have management responsibility over all of the Resort's accounting and financial programs.
Mandy has been with Alyeska Resort since January 2003 in the position of Controller. She received her M.B.A. from University of Texas Arlington, with a concentration in Finance and received Bachelor's degrees in Marketing and Management from Abilene Christian University. Prior to joining Alyeska Resort, Mandy worked as a financial manager for the consulting firm Accenture and as a licensed securities broker for DLJ Direct. Over the past 10 years, Mandy has been an integral part in the Executive Team for our current ownership group as well as for Seibu.
Jaci Ohayon has accepted the position of Associate General Counsel. Jaci will be working closely with Randall Call, the Resort's General Counsel and will assist in legal issues relating to human resources and other areas within Alyeska Resort which require legal research and input. Jaci has been with the Alyeska Resort for one and a half years as the Director of Human Resources. Jaci graduated from Willamette University College of Law with a Juris Doctorate degree. She also received a Master of Arts degree in International Studies and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Science.
