Wine of the week: 2012 True Myth Eden Valley Chardonnay

Aha! Friday the 13th. What better day than to recommend a wine of myth, 2012 True Myth Eden Valley Chardonnay that is. True Myth is a solid project put together by the Nivian family. Two generations of winemaking and grape growing excellence in the Edna Valley AVA. This beautiful chardonnay yields explosive aromatics of tropical fruits, citrus, pear and toast. The mouth follows suit with rich fat fruits and a full palate feel. Great acid balance holds everything together. This wine gives you lots of technique for your money; 65 percent barrel fermentation, oak aging 5 months in 38 percent new French, lees stirring 3 months, 4 clones and S.I.P. certified sustainable. Those details tell me how much care went into creating this charming beverage. Serve with good friends and good times. Costs about $18.
