Limited opportunities exist for golfers to deposit golf balls in the trees lining the Moose Run Creek Course this season.
Sunday is the last day the course will be open.
Moose Run is the only golf facility to set closing dates, with its Hill Course remaining open an extra week until Sept. 28. Closing before the snow flies allows course maintenance crews time to prepare the course for winter, said manager Amy Sexton.
Golfers looking for a last shot to improve their game before the Hill closes are welcome to join Moose Run golf pro Frank Wilson for a free clinic Monday from 3-6 p.m.
Eagleglen, Anchorage Golf Course, Palmer Golf Course and Settlers Bay plan to remain open until weather forces closure. Temporary greens might be used before the snow flies, if weather gets too cold and wet.
