The defensive show of might lifted South (6-1) to a 20-0 halftime lead. In the second half, the Wolverines' offense generated a third-quarter touchdown on Sabrina Ungara's 35-yard dash, and the defense came up with another interception, this one by Grace Connelly, who was stopped immediately by Service (3-4).

"When Grace made her interception, we were all like, 'What, no pick six?' '' Sugita said.
