Troopers: Fairbanks woman kicked out window of police vehicle

A North Pole woman was caught trying to burglarize a Fairbanks recycling plant, then kicked out the rear window of a police vehicle after being detained by the Alaska State Troopers early Friday morning, the troopers said in a written statement.

Kori Tupper, 35, was caught at K&K Recycling in Fairbanks just before 3 a.m. Friday, and she was subsequently charged with criminal mischief, the troopers said.

While the troopers were investigating, they said Tupper "kicked out the back window of an Alaska State Trooper patrol vehicle, rendering the vehicle inoperable for patrol duties."

A hearing on Tupper's case is set for Sept. 30 in Fairbanks.
