Defenseman William Wrenn of Anchorage, a stand-out rookie defenseman for the Alaska Aces last season, when he earned significant AHL time, particularly with the Texas Stars, is headed back to that club, which opens training camp Tuesday.
Wrenn, 22, a former second-round pick of the San Jose Sharks, last season racked 22 AHL games. He played 19 of those for Texas, earning 2-5--7 and +3 totals.
In 51 games with the Aces, Wrenn went 5-16--21 and +1.
Also in the Stars' AHL camp are former Colorado College captain/winger William Rapuzzi of Anchorage, who in the offseason signed his first pro deal, with ECHL Idaho, and Aces winger Spencer Bennett.
