I want to thank Lisa Demer for her article published in the Daily News on Sunday about the proposed Chuitna Coal strip mine and House Bill 77.
I have lived in Alaska for 46 years and love our beautiful state and its resources. I am concerned about the impact HB 77 will have on our salmon streams and the loss of our Native Alaskans ways of life. This bill would also eliminate private groups from any legal recourse to fight back. I call on all our elected representatives to vote no on HB 77.
