Letter: Dyson twists abortion facts

Sen. Fred Dyson claimed in his Compass piece of Sept. 25 that "the overwhelming majority of Alaskans do not want their money paying for abortions that are not strictly necessary to protect the mother's life." He went on to state that those Alaskans who disagree with his view "want every woman to be able to get an abortion, for any reason, at any time." Finally he implied that the suffering of an eight celled blastocysts is comparable to that of an American black slave. Please, sir, reference your sources. Perhaps you should encourage public discourse rather than throwing down the gauntlet.
