Senator Johnny Ellis' (Sept. 19) letter to the editor praising the good work of Beth Nordlund and the Anchorage Park Foundation this summer was spot on.
It should also be noted that of the bulk of the Anchorage Park Foundation's private donations come from the generosity of the Rasmuson Foundation and wouldn't be possible without the leadership and dedication of Diane Kaplan and her staff. The Rasmuson Foundation's financial participation gave the Alaska Legislature the confidence to support funding these practical and beneficial upgrades.
A sincere thank you to the Rasmuson Family and Foundation, for partnering with the Anchorage Park Foundation to make Anchorage a great place to live, work and play.
