Does anyone else have a problem with dogs who like to eat dirt? Not just any dirt, mind you, it's just the dirt at the park. In the middle of a walk or nosework practice, my two Yorkies will stop in their tracks because they like the taste of a particular patch of dirt.
I've seen dogs that like to dig out of boredom -- that's not it. They genuinely seem to like the taste of the dirt. They don't dig so much as they do like the taste.
I'm wondering what the heck it is about the dirt at the park.
