Tennis: East stops Eagle River

East 6, Eagle River 3

In a fiercely contested boys singles match, Eagle River's Ryan Casey outdueled East's Eli Neslund to highlight Friday's Cook Inlet Conference meet between the teams.

Neslund won the first set but Casey took the tiebreaker that decided the second set and went on to claim a 3-6, 7-6 (3), 10-7 win.

East won the meet 6-3.
