Allie Ostrander of Kenai and Levi Thomet of Kodiak, who have set the pace throughout the cross country season, conducted business as usual Saturday at the Region III championships in Seward.
Ostrander crushed the girls field with a 5-kilometer time of 18:06, giving her a comfortable win over runnerup Alex Mathis of Wasilla (19:16.24).
Thomet took the boys victory in 16:06.95 for a 35-second win over Kenai's Johan Theisen.
In Class 1-2-3A competition, Grace Christian's Daniel Serventi posted a 13-second win over Anchorage Christian's Austin Monzon, winning in 16:54.53.
Homer's Megan Pitzman topped the 1-2-3 girls in 19:33.13.
Grace Christian swept the Class 1-2-3A titles, Wasilla claimed the 4A girls crown and Kodiak eked out a victory in 4A boys in a tight, three-way race — the Bears scored 42 points, Colony scored 45 and Kenai 48.
