An occupied fishing lodge on Iliamna Lake was destroyed by fire Friday morning, according to Alaska State Troopers.
There were eight guests and a few employees inside the Intricate Bay Lodge at the time of the fire, said Megan Peters, Alaska State Troopers spokeswoman. None were injured.
Peters said troopers found used fire extinguishers inside the lodge.
Troopers got a call at about 8:25 a.m. that the Intricate Bay Lodge was fully engulfed in flames, according to a dispatch Friday morning. One trooper flew to the lodge, near Kokhanok. A representative from Iliamna Air Taxi said one of its pilots spotted the fire and reported it to troopers.
At 9 a.m., a company pilot flew Trooper Joe Minnick to the fire scene, where they remain.
The state fire marshal's office has been notified, and an investigator will be traveling to the scene.
The business is billed on its Web site as an "intimate" lodge with four double rooms in a two-story log building.
