Service 3, Bartlett 0

Morgan Christy had a huge match Friday to guide Service to a 25-17 25-20 25-10 Cook Inlet Conference volleyball sweep of Bartlett.

Christy, a junior middle blocker, piled up 11 kills, nine blocks and two aces for the Cougars, who also got 11 digs from Jessica Brown and 13 assists and three aces from Cydney Clark.

South 3, East 0

Kayla Sims keyed South's offense with 23 assists and an eye-popping eight aces Friday in a CIC sweep of East.

"She was on fire," South coach Judy Knecht said.

Holly Morehouse tallied 10 kills and Tatum Upchurch and Shelby Little each had six in the Wolverines' 25-11, 25-10, 25-10 victory.

East got three kills apiece from Taria Page and Morgan Hill, and Nadia Frank-Macon served three aces.

West 3, Eagle River 0

West knocked off Eagle River in three sets Friday, taking a 25-8, 26-24, 25-16 CIC win at Eagle River.

Kara Viotto's seven kills and three aces led Eagle River.

Dimond 3, Chugiak 0

Sparked by a monster match from Leah Swiss, Dimond rallied from a big third-set deficit Friday to dispose of Chugiak 25-19 25-11 25-23 sweep of Chugiak in a CIC match at Dimond.

The Lynx trailed by six points in the third set before charging back.

Swiss racked up 27 kills and 16 digs in the win. Heidi Andrus came through with 18 digs, Jenna Mixson contributed 21 assists and 16 digs, Allie McDonnell was good for 17 assists and seven digs and Rohyn Huss added six kills for the Lynx.

Chugiak got a boost from Rachel Gregg (11 kills, 4 blocks, 2 aces) and Rachel Topf (13 assists, 3 blocks).
