Wine of the week: 2012 Michael & David Lodi Chardonnay

I always get people asking for that "buttery" Chardonnay. Sure, no problem. I mean -- uh-oh, big problem. Rich, viscous Chardonnay can be very expensive. The 2012 Michael & David Lodi Chardonnay has conquered this problem quite handily. It has texture and expanse across the palate. Loaded with fleshy Red Delicious apples, apricots, peach, and pineapple, it creams out on the mid-palate with exquisite texture. This is truly affordable luxury. Serve with rich chicken dishes and comfort food. Costs about $18.
