Anna Dalton devoured the competition Saturday to win the women's race in the Anchorage Running Club's Zombie Half-Marathon by a scary margin.
Dalton covered the 13.1-mile course, which went from Goose Lake to Kincaid Park via the Chester Creek trail and the coastal trail, in 1 hour, 25 minutes, 43 seconds. Her monster run put second-place Stacy Strabel more than five minutes behind in 1:31:09.
The men's race was practically a dead heat by comparison. Laine Parish clocked 1:17:58 for a 43-second win over Ryan Beckett.
The race attracted 897 runners.
