The Alaska Hemophilia Association has announced the appointment of John Palmatier as its Executive Director.
John Palmatier, who previously served as the Executive Director for the Alaska Regional Council of Carpenters, will replace previous Alaska Hemophilia Association Executive Director Louise Cobb who served in position since 1993.
John received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from University of Alaska Anchorage, has extensive executive and nonprofit experience including having served in the past as the President of the Alaska Hemophilia Association. John and his wife Michelle have four children, one of whom has hemophilia and another whom is a carrier. A lifelong Alaskan John and his family have been involved with a long list of organizations and community events.
"I look forward to expanding on the great work of our previous Executive Director by working with our enthused and involved Board promoting the community awareness of hemophilia and other bleeding disorders and assisting those families with bleeding disorders."
The Alaska Hemophilia Association is a non-profit organization that works to improve the quality of life of individuals and families affected by bleeding disorders by providing services, support, education and advocacy.
