Nanooks hold off visiting Northern Michigan, 5-4

UAF won its debut game in the WCHA tonight, holding off visiting Northern Michigan 5-4 before an announced crowd of 2,549 at the Carlson Center.

The Nanooks (4-1-2 overall) went 3 for 6 on the power play and got one goal and one helper from sophomore Tyler Morley. Freshmen Brandon Morley and Shaun Hochhausen each bagged their first college goals, and Colton Beck and Marcus Basara also scored.

UAF led 5-2 after two periods.
