Police arrested a Providence Alaska Medical Center employee Monday after they received hospital reports accusing him of sexually abusing a 14-year-old girl he was treating, said Anchorage police.
Allen Kelly Miller, 28, started working at the hospital's Pediatric Unit in January as a patient care technician, police said.
Miller told police that his previous job was providing medical care in Oregon, police said.
According to police, the victim said Miller first assaulted her in July and that she didn't report the incident.
Police said the girl told them that Miller assaulted her again on Friday. This time, she told hospital staff who then notified police on Friday.
The hospital fired Miller on Tuesday, said Kirsten Schultz, hospital spokeswoman.
Schultz said a patient care technician works under the supervision of a nurse and helps admit patients, records vital signs and bathes patients.
Miller is charged with three counts of sexual abuse of a minor and is being held in Anchorage Jail without bail, according to police.
