A pair of Eagle River shooters dominated Saturday's T-Bird Invitational riflery meet at East High.
Tristan Henderson fired a 579 and Cathryn Papasodora posted a 578 in the day-long competition, in which each competitor had 20 shots in each of the three shooting positions — prone, standing and kneeling.
Tie for third place at 572 were three shooters — Logan Hanscom of Service, Marina Noble of West and Maddy Friedl of Dimond. Two others — South's Morgan Howard and Kyle Milne — fired 570s.
The meet was an EIC Cup Match sanctioned by the Civilian Marksmanship Program. All seven of the top shooters earned Excellence in Competition points for scoring 570 or better. Once a shooter earned enough points, they are awarded a badge for distinguished shooting.
