Volz outraces Farr in a Mat-Su Ski Club race

Jacob Volz edged John Farr by a couple of seconds to win a men’s 5-kilometer classic cross-country ski race at Hatcher Pass last weekend, part of the Mat-Su Ski Club’s Race to the Outhouse. 

Volz finished in 14 minutes, 46 seconds, and Farr posted 14:48. 

Taryn Hunt-Smith picked up a win in the women’s 5-K classic, with Cody Priest and Tracie Haan taking titles in the 5-K skates for men and women, respectively.
