A story on Friday's front page about a Brooklyn man running in next year's Aug. 19 primary against U.S. Sen. Mark Begich incorrectly described Begich as a two-term senator. He is a one-term incumbent.

The editorial on Page A-8 Thursday gave an incorrect example of who would benefit by a Medicaid expansion in Alaska. Children with parents who have income up to 175 percent of the federal poverty level already qualify for coverage in the Denali KidCare program. The Medicaid expansion would primarily cover currently uninsured adults up to 138 percent of the poverty level.
