Kodiak man wanted by cops after drugs, weapons charges

The Alaska State Troopers are asking for the public's help in locating a Kodiak man wanted on felony weapons and drugs charges.

A $500,000 warrant is out for Brandon Eliott Timpke, 23, who was originally arrested Nov. 14 in Kodiak for failing to appear in court on misdemeanor charges of driving with a revoked license and violating bail conditions. Timpke was also charged at that point with driving with a restricted license and giving police false information, said Beth Ipsen, spokeswoman for the Alaska State Troopers.

Timpke immediately posted bail and was released, Ipsen said. A day later, Timpke was charged with five weapons- and drugs-related felonies after a follow-up investigation by police.

Troopers believe Timpke is on Kodiak Island, but he may have fled elsewhere in the state, Ipsen said. He is not believed to be a public threat, but he could be armed and avoiding capture, Ipsen said.

Timpke was described as 5 feet 10 inches tall, 175 pounds, with blond hair and blue eyes. Anyone with information on Timpke's whereabouts can call Alaska State Troopers at 907-486-4121, the Kodiak Police Department at 907-486-8000 or Kodiak Crime Stoppers at 907-486-3113.
