South edged Wasilla by 1.5 points Saturday to claim the team title the Lancer Smith Invitational wrestling tournament at Palmer High, where 39 teams competed.
Greg Shack and Kraig Hammond each won titles for South, Shack winning in the 106-pound weight division and Hammond winning at 138.
Quace Wright claimed Wasilla's only individual title with a win at 220 pounds.
