Beitel West joins NDC as Senior Vice President, Human Resources

Sandy Beitel West, a senior executive with more than 30 years of experience in human resources and finance, has joined NANA Development Corp. (NDC) as Senior Vice President, Human Resources.

"Sandy's primary goal is to support NDC and its family of companies by building a high-performing Human Resources team that delivers excellent service and results to leadership, employees and shareholders," said NDC President Helvi Sandvik.

In her career, West has supported complex and diverse organizations, driving strategy and development. She spent 28 years with BP, where she led the Alaska Human Resources function and served as a member of the Alaska Leadership Team for 10 years, then served as Director of Human Resources for BP's Houston-based Exploration & Production Technology, Inc.. In 2010, she returned to Anchorage to serve as Director of Human Resources for Ukpeagvik Iñupiat Corp. and then as Vice President of Human Resources for Koniag, Inc.

West's areas of expertise include employee relations, policy and compliance, compensation, performance management, learning and organization development, recruiting, talent management, Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and payroll administration."

A graduate of the University of Montana with a degree in finance and accounting, West continued her professional development at the Kellogg Executive Master Business School at Northwestern University, the Human Resources Executive Program at the University of Michigan and the Strategic Human Resources Program at Cornell University, along with numerous other development classes.

She is a member of the Society of Human Resource Professionals, National Association of Professional Women, past board member of United Way of Anchorage and past advisory board member for Providence Health & Services Alaska.
