Qauarliak "Dominic" Manumik, a 28-year-old man from the Wasilla area, was arrested early Sunday for sexually assaulting a 26-year-old male at Manumik's residence, Alaska State Troopers said.

The two men know each other but it's not clear how well, troopers spokeswoman Megan Peters said. The victim was transported to Alaska Native Medical Center for treatment, troopers said in an online statement issued Monday. His condition was not available.

Troopers said they responded to a report of a male sexually assaulting another male at a residence in the Williwaw subdivision outside Wasilla at 3:49 a.m. Sunday.

Manumik had called a cab, and it was the cab driver who called 911, Peters said.

Manumik is a registered sex offender, according to the state's Sex Offender/Child Kidnapper Registration Program database. He was convicted in 2005 in Bethel Superior Court of second-degree attempted sexual abuse of a minor, according to the database.

Manumik was arrested for second-degree sexual assault and jailed at Mat-Su Pretrial Facility without bail
