Bristol President & CEO Joe Terrell announces retirement

Bristol Bay Native Corporation announces Joe Terrell, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Bristol Alliance of Companies, will retire at the end of the year.

Travis Woods, current CEO and Senior Engineer of Bristol Engineering Services Corporation, a member of the Bristol Alliance, was selected to replace Terrell on Dec. 4 by Jason Metrokin, BBNC President and CEO.

Terrell started at Bristol in 1996, two years after the formation of the company. Bristol has grown to eight companies with more than 300 full-time employees and offices across the country. The company provides a broad array of construction, engineering, and range and unexploded ordnance response work, as well as an expanded line of environmental and remediation work.

"I'm proud of what Bristol has accomplished in its nearly 20-year history, and I am grateful to have had the opportunity to have a role in bringing about what we have today," Terrell said.

Woods joined Bristol in 1996. He too has played a key role in the companies' growth. He has been involved in civil and environmental engineering design and project management since 1995. "I am excited and humbled by the opportunity that BBNC has given me," Woods said.

Metrokin said, "We appreciate the work Joe has performed on behalf of BBNC and its shareholders and wish him the best in his retirement. We look forward to working more closely with Travis and the new perspective he will bring to Bristol."

Terrell will remain at Bristol through the remainder of the year, working with Woods to ensure a smooth transition.
